SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star are living in this ring. And on the surface, it is engraved with "BFF," which means best friend, forever. It was a gift from my best friend in China. He gave this to me to remind me to not forget him.  In 2019, my family sent me to America with a longing for multiculturalism and the exposure to different modes of teaching, and I have been studying and living in NY since then. There are huge differences in education between China and the United States. Many families choose to send their children abroad with the hope that their children can receive a "Western education" that is different from China's. American education guides children, Chinese education manages children. In China, most teachers do not encourage children's personality development, and generally believe that children who study well are good children. American education appreciates challenges, and children who dare to ask questions and questions are often encouraged and praised by teachers. After making the decision to study abroad, I can only go back to my hometown once or twice a year. It is even more difficult to go home after the pandemic happened. So my friend gave the ring to me the last time I had a chance to go back home and meet him. The friendship between SpongeBob and Patrick is unshakable, so he hopes that the friendship between us can also last forever.
