Poetry is one of the types of writing that I love. It is my favorite genre. It all started in 1st grade or 2nd grade when my class was working on poetry. It was first acrostic poems, then haikus, and finally I wrote my first poem - it wasn't acrostic or haiku or any type of poetry. It was just poetry. When I started it was only for class work, and then I started to just write my thoughts. I wrote about my pillow which reminded me of China to music, which lifts my mood. I was sad when we didn't get to do poetry anymore in 3rd grade. I started to write poetry again when I was in 5th grade. Sometimes I wrote poems about being sad, I showed it to my friends. They said it was really good. So maybe, in the future I might become a poet. But, who knows what the future holds?
