This is the yellow alarm clock that sits on the corner of my study desk. Twenty years ago, my father bought a yellow Sony radio alarm clock as he was attending graduate school in Southern California. The clock woke him up every morning for four years. My mother used the same yellow Sony alarm clock when she was studying English in preparation for the TOEFL exam. She placed it right beside their bed, and it sometimes woke up my father by accident. Four years ago, I started using the yellow Sony alarm clock to wake up for school. The “snooze” button was broken, so I had to improvise and plug the alarm clock out each morning and set it up again every night. Two years ago, I used the alarm clock to wake up for my SAT exam. Two weeks ago, the yellow Sony alarm clock woke me up so that I could get to my college morning lecture on time. In six months, my younger brother will use the yellow Sony radio alarm clock as he starts high school.
