I chose a solidified jellyfish, a beautiful, blue, phosphorescent jellyfish. It sits in a pool of water surrounded by hard glass. My object is rarely used; however, it sits as a reminder of where I came from. I have moved many times in my life, and the only constant is this decorative piece. I can't remember the first time I saw it but, in every bathroom, I know it's been there. This solidified jellyfish has a special place in my family's upbringing. It has seen us at our lowest, at our highest and everywhere in between. It symbolizes the growth and changes we've overcame as a family and acts as a reminder that though life doesn't move gently, if you pause to look back at what you've overcome, the path ahead looks a little brighter.
