Soccer Ball
Ever since I was a toddler, I found myself kicking soccer balls everyday in my backyard or at the park. Even today, I still do these things with my friends, family, and random strangers I meet at the soccer field. God only knows how much of a dramatic impact this has made in my life because without it, I could probably see myself reentering the dark times I endured in my life. There were several occasions when life struck me hard, and I needed a way to cope with it. I would go to my backyard and juggle the ball for hours. What seemed like a menial activity to others, it was a form of therapy to me. If I were to describe myself in the past, I could undoubtedly say I was an introvert, antisocial, and arguably invisible to most crowds. Today, however, I am the complete opposite. I'm assertive, outgoing, conversational, and extremely fun to be around. Overall, I can confidently claim that I truly found myself as a person over the last decade of my life, and this would've never happened if I didn't pick up my soccer ball when I was a toddler.
