Shalwar Kameez are a type of clothing that Pakistani people wear. In Pakistan, people wear it all the time. Some Shalwar Kameez are fancy, like for weddings. Other kinds are plain or simple to wear everyday. On Muslim holidays, like Eid and Ramadan, it is a tradition to wear Shalwar Kameez. It is also a tradition to wear it on Fridays for religious services. On special occasions, one would wear Shalwar Kameez with some jewelry. The clothing has a fancy and beautiful design. On the bottom edges of the Shalwar Kameez, there are fancy prints made of stones or printed patterns. Simple Shalwar Kameez have a simple, pretty print. Shalwar Kameez come in many different colors. When you get Shalwar Kameez you would get a matching scarf to wear.   Shalwar is the pants and Kameez is the dress. The Shalwar’s are lighter than the Kameez and the Kameez material is thin and flowey. There are Shalwar Kameez for women and girls. There are also Shalwar Kameez for men and boys too. The Shalwar Kameez for men aren’t fancy, just simple. Men wear Shalwar Kameez for the same reason women wear This tradition runs in our family and always will.
