Who knew that one shirt could be significant? During the summer world cup games were going on, I saw so many videos of people at the games having a great time. I hoped to experience the same fun, especially with games being in Washington. The day before the Senegal v Belgium game, the Seattle Senegalese community had a pre-game celebration and everyone was really hyped about the game being in Seattle. The pre-game was really fun and brought the community.  One thing about the Senegalese community is, they always help each-other out, even if they don't know each-other. They came together as a group and provided people with tickets for the Senegal game to make sure that the community would see their home country playing in Seattle. My uncle was able to get us tickets, and that morning I was searching for something to wear. Then I found my jersey that I've never been able to wear, because I couldn't think of an occasion to wear it and it was a gift from my aunt. This was the perfect day to wear it. I was so excited because I was going to experience a world cup game. When we got there I saw so much of the Senegalese community. It is so crazy how a soccer game can bring people together. Even though we lost, it was still a great thing that brought people together and created memories that people won't forget. Now every time I see the shirt I'm gonna think about how much fun I had during the game.
