A blue-yellowish traje from Guatemala

My traje tipico is a traditional dress of Guatemala. As you can see in the images I have, there are many types you can get, with multiple colors to just one, with beautiful gems, with the traditional bird on it and as you can see in the purple bluish one i have, has a woman on it, it has many special meaning to it. Some of these are especially handmade but way more expensive. The traje tipicos are made mostly of handwoven natural fibers like cotton, alpaca wool, and sometimes fique. In Guatemala mostly every woman wears a traje everyday, but especially on special occasions it's when every woman has one on showing off the beauty and uniqueness of every traje!! Everyone from my family owns their own traje tipico and it’s very  gorgeous. My own traje came from Atlanta and one even from Guatemala. I wore the yellow-bluish traje in the picture by itself on my special day which was my Quinceanera party. Once I put on my traje it can honestly show where I come from, my home place, it shows that I am a guatemalteca and very proud to be one. My traje is a very special part of my own identity because it makes me feel connected to my family who live in Guatemala, and I am very thankful for my mom who works hard to be able to buy me my own trajes tipicos. Lastly every traje tipico is unique in its own way, and each and every one shows the tradition and is very beautiful .
