Seashell
In 1999, my parents came to America from Bangladesh. They were just married. When they came to America, at first everything was good. They even went on a trip to Atlantic City and found a seashell that they had carved with their names. After I was born, they started to fight and argue a lot. They ended up getting a divorce. It obviously brought me down. But the seashell helped to negate the sad feelings. When I put the shell to my ear, I can hear the ocean which is very calming. The reason I chose the seashell as my item is because it helps me to remember the positive times instead of the negative. It shows that life isn't always negative; you can always find the positive in things.
