Scopa Cards
My object is a very old pack of Scopa Cards and they are originally from Italy. They were my great-grandfather's deck and he passed it down to my grandfather. After he migrated to America and had kids, he gave them to my father who gave them to me. It connects to my identity because I am Italian and the game comes from there and is played in many families. The game had been passed down in many families and the game is still popular in Italy. It is played by each player and the middle of the table being dealt cards, and trying to take cards from the middle by pairing yours with the middles to gain points. Every once in awhile my family and I will sit down and play this game for hours on end. I identify with this game because it part of my family and it culture.
