Sancocho
My object tells an important story. It's sancocho and first of all I want to start off by saying it is delicious. In my family, there is a secret recipe that makes it better than your standard sancocho. Secondly, this dish is very historic. It comes from the Dominican Republic. It served on special occasions and celebrations. It is basically soup with a lot of ingredients like plantains, meat, etc. In addition, you can this soup the main dish of my country, the Dominican Republic. My family makes this but with a nice recipe and only on special occasions. This is how sancocho is important to me and my family -- it makes it so I don't forget my whole country.
