“My artifact is a hand crafted wooden sail boat. The person that connected me to this was my grandmother. I remember seeing it at the top of her closet since I was very young. She is a kind heated old lady. She would never let me touch it and I never asked why. I believed she use to have it on a display case but not anymore. I feel like this was in the 1950’s. I would say this I connected to immigration because this showed how immigrants came to the USA and other parts of the around the world. This artifact shows that during the first form of migration. Also this been around for many years, all the way back in to the 4000 B.C. I feel like this means a lot to my grandmother so it means a lot to me. Those are my reasons that I chose this artifact.”
