Russian Teapots
These china teapots have been in my family since sometime between 1910 and 1930. My great-grandparents got them from Russia when they were there on business and took them to their home in Iran. They passed them down to my grandfather, who eventually passed them down to my dad. Since my dad was living in the United States by the time he received the teapots, that is where they have been for years. They were once used for tea, but now they are just decorations in my living room. I did not know anything about them until my dad told me about them. I think that it is interesting that the teapots made their way across the world with my family. They connect to my family's culture because tea is a very important beverage in Iran.
