Rosary
My Grandmother was born in the 1930’s in County Clare Ireland and grew up Catholic. She was given a plastic rosary from her parents because they were a lot cheaper than ones made of wood or other materials. She grew up poor but once she was in her twenties she immigrated to Boston by herself and eventually settled in Quincy in the Boston greater area. She kept that rosary for her whole until she passed away a few months after I was born and the rosary was given to my father and it is now back in Boston with my uncle. It is one of the only things that she brought from Ireland.
