Rosary

This Rosary can represent different meanings to everyone. Specifically, this one has a special meaning to my aunt. My aunt left her home and her daughter to find a better life and opportunities. My aunt took around one week to be able to arrive in the United States. She encountered many obstacles along the way. She had to walk during the heat, which led to dehydration. She had thoughts of going back at some point but kept thinking of her daughter whom she left back home. She knew that she had to keep going for her daughter to have a better future. Better than the one she had. She wanted her daughter to have the opportunity to go to school, grow up in a well neighborhood, and have the options that she did not get while growing up. She was traveling from Michoacan, Mexico, to the United States. Whenever my aunt felt hopeless, she would pray, with the only Rosary she had. My aunt’s prayers were answered because her daughter was doing well at home and she arrived in the United States safely. My aunt worked tirelessly when she arrived in the United States. Every time she would get home exhausted, she prayed to the only Rosary she had. Later on, she and her daughter would reunite. This Rosary means so much to her because it was one of the few things she had from back home, and it helped her in her journey to the United States.
