Rio Grande
This river is the Rio Grande, the river bordering the US and Mexico, but it is significant for my family and I, and generations to come. My Dad, alongside with his parents and siblings, crossed this river hoping for a better live in the USA. They left Mexico and started their journey towards this river, hoping to cross and coming into the land of freedom. Crossing this river has risks, the current might be fast, and some immigrants might get drifted away from the current, but luckily, they crossed and went to Los Angeles, California to start a better life. This river is so significant to me because it allows me to live in this country, this state and this city. I live in a good country, I have many opportunities here at the United States, I am in good school here at California. Life would’ve been different if my grandparents and dad didn’t immigrate here to the USA. Thanks to my grandparents and dad, I am going to be able to attend college and do many other things in this free country.
