Strength Ring

Everyone has an object that reminds them of their family and is extremely important to them for me, it's this ring. It is a small gold ring with a gold flower and a purple stone in the center.  Originally, it was my great grandmothers, who received it from her mother when she was a little girl in Italy although I don't know the full story. It was later passed down to my grandma who then gave it to my mother. I recieved the ring from my father on my 16th birthday this year, 8 years after my mom passed away. It isn't an expensive ring or anything, but it means much more to me than any other piece expensive jewelry I have ever owned. It reminds me of the strong women in my family and what family's been through. When I wear the ring I am reminded of my mother and I feel like it gives me strength to do anything I set my mind to. Although my mom was never able to actually give me this ring, I know that I was the one who’s supposed to have it. I feel that this ring connects me to my Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Although to you it may look like just  a simple ring, to me it's much more.
