ring
In her last days, back in Nicaragua, my grandmother looked at me with a tenderness that only she knew how to convey. In a soft voice, he handed me a ring that had been her since her youth. This ring has witnessed my most important moments. She told me, “now it's yours, so that you can continue to carry our story.” From that moment every time I look at the ring I feel her presence. It is more than a jewel, it is a bridge between the past and the present, a reminder of her love and wisdom. This ring connects me with my roots and inspires me to live with the same strength and grace as her. This ring, beyond its material value, represents an emotional legacy that transcends generations. Inherited jewels, such as this ring, are considered family relics that carry with them stories, values and traditions, acting as tangible links with the past and strengthening family identity. In the future, I will give this ring to my children to continue the tradition and connection to our families culture.
