Records
My father has come from Jamaica to America. Along with him he brought numerous records. These records are very old and delicate. Some of them are from the early 50’s or even earlier. These records can still be played today and hold the importance of old times. We regularly play these records and appreciate them. Among these records are classics from America. They are not all Jamaican records. This represents my father's transition. He was able to blend the two cultures together and create a life in America. It was very important to hold on to something connecting back to the place he came from. These records are very important to my family and we are sure to keep them safe. We have recently bought another record player after getting rid of an old one. We will continue to add to the record collection. I love the way music sounds on a record player and will definitely continue to make use of it. Music is something that can connect different people from around the world. It is a universal language that unites people. These records will continue to serve as a bondage from my Dad’s move from Jamaica to America.
