Airplane Set
This toy airplane set belonged to my uncle, Vitaliy, who is now thirty-five years old. This toy set was bought by my grandmother for him when he was four years old. It was in constant use until my uncle grew out of toys around thirteen-fourteen years old. These airplanes were passed on to me by my uncle when I was three and have played with them in my summer house, where they used to be located prior to moving to America. On my third visit to Russia, when I was 11, I decided to take the airplanes I could find with me, so I could play with them again and to save them from getting completely lost. These planes ironically symbolize me moving from Russia to America and mean a lot to me because of that, since it constantly reminds me of my childhood trip.
