My great-great-grandmother, Giovana Tedeschi, came to America in 1902 on a steamship. She was originally born in Genoa, Italy. She was really well off in Italy so we don’t know why she came to America. She came with a lot of stuff, including; a portrait of herself, a folding table, and a lot of recipes (boxes and boxes). My mom doesn’t make the recipes because they’re old and faded and they’re illegible. She’s a very important part of this family because without her we wouldn’t be in America.
