I picked the Quran because it is significant to Ramadan, and Ramadan is very important to my religion. In Ramadan, my family and I fast for 30 days, waking up and eating before dawn, and not eating for the rest of the day until dusk. Ramadan means a lot to me because it only happens once a year, and it comes by very quickly. We each pick a habit that we would like to improve, and try our best to improve it.  Sometimes, I help my mom prepare Iftar -the name of the meal in which Muslims break their fast- by making fruit salad and pouring Rooh Afza. After Maghrib (prayer), we go to the mosque and pray Isha (prayer), and Taraweeh (a prayer that you can only pray in Ramadan).  To sum it up, Ramadan is a time that is very important to me, and it brings my family closer.
