When I think of the earliest stages of my life, I think about stories. Stories that have been read straight from the quran. The muslim religion has been in my famiy for as long as we know. It's one of the only things that connects us to one another. My parents moved to the U.S in 2001. Without having much to remember their home land of Egypt from, they had to use what they had. A quran being one of those objects. As a child my mother would read from the quran introducing me to a new world. The stories would inspire me. The quran tells stories that teaches us lessons and teaches us of what happened in the past (something I have always been interested in). I have abided by the lessons that were taught from these stories I heard and I will continue to abide by the lessons for as long as I can.
