My Recipe for a Pupusa

          The object is a recipe for a pupusa (Poo,poo,sa). The pupusa is from El Salvador.  The pupusa is yummy and full of cheese. I eat pupusas and it taste so good. It is made of cornmeal dough and mozzarella cheese. The pupusa are like a taco, but it's different. It has is similarities and differences.
 I chose to write about the pupusa because I have been writing about Mexico a lot. My mom is Mexican.  I want to write about my other ¼ of my culture. What am I? I am Mexican, Puerto Rican, El Salvadoran-American. My grandma makes pupusas. She immigrated to the USA. My grandma taught me how to make it once, and I still remember.  Ingredients: 

  • Cornmeal 
  • mozzarella cheese 
  • stove 
  • 2cups of water                                                               


Step 1 - fill a bowl with a cup of cornmeal, 2 cups of water , and a teaspoon of salt Step 2 - knead the dough together until everything's mixed together,make a  ball,then form a small cup. Fill the cup with cheese and close the hole and make it flat Step 3- put the pupusa on a smooth flat griddle on medium high heat. Cook 3-4 min on each side
