A traditional food in the Dominican Republic is rice, beans and chicken.  The category that represents this item is Foodways. This is very important to share because it is a good way for others to see what Dominicans like to eat.  It is a food dish made of white rice, beans and chicken and my mom is the person who makes that food delicious and very flavorful. This is a typical food that mostly we eat every day.  It's connected with my culture because it is a food that almost everyone eats. This is important for me because it tastes good and I can cook for other people who might not eat it before.  Even though we eat this here in America, it does not taste the same as back “home” in The Dominican Republic - there are different companies that make the ingredients and that makes them taste different.
