Puerto Rican Flag
Puerto Rican Flag
My object is a flag from Puerto Rico. Half of my family is from Puerto Rico and it helps use remember where we were from. My mom, specifically, uses the Puerto Rican flag. My dad is Jamaican. We have a blended family. It's used for representing the land of Puerto Rico. Puerto Rican people use the flag just like Americans use the American flag. It's made out of nylon fabric. I chose to write about the Puerto Rican flag because the flag shows where I'm from. It's important to Puerto Rican people because it shows our land and represents our freedoms. The Puerto Rican flag has five stripes and one star. The Puerto Rican flag is similar to the Cuban flag. Jaun de mata terreforte made the Puerto Rican flag.
The puerto rican colors on the flag mean: Red = blood of brave warriors White = victory and peaceBlue = sky blue crystal watersStar = island of puerto Rico
The flag is important to me and my family and we will continue to hang it proudly in my home.
