My artifact is a prayer book that belonged to my grandmother. This item is a religious item used for church. The book is very old is about 90 years old, the pages in the book are very fragile and delicate. From what we can tell this prayer book is from Boston, because in the inside of the front cover it has the address of the previous owner. The prayer book first belonged to my great-grandmother, which was then passed down to my grandmother. This object connects to a special occasion, which is it got passed down as a first communion gift. This object is important to me because I don’t have many things of great grandmother, so it’s the only item of them that I have of her's. This object connects to my culture because my family is catholic, and it’s an item that we used for when we go to church.
