Poverty Sucks Poster
The “Poverty Sucks” poster that is hung in my bathroom was given to me by my grandma who lives in Illinois. I find it very funny that my grandma owned this because she is a small, old catholic lady who is a very light hearted person. It’s ironic because the poster is arrogant and even a little bit mean. However, the poster reminds me of how my grandma is a very hardworking person, and cares a lot about her family. She started working after she delivered six kids out of her body. She worked as a clinical psychologist until just recently when persuaded by family to retire. But working is what gave her purpose, and she worked so that she could help her children, even long after they left her home. This poster reminds me that I want to be hard working like her. I’m all about the grind. I’m all about money, and I certainly enjoy dropping cash on other people. Poverty does in fact suck and I don’t want to be poor when I grow up.
