The Dogfather.
This picture next to this text has a crazy story. This is a picture of a dog named Ace sitting in a dandelion patch. This was my grandfather's dog on my moms side. He's a black lab. My mom loved this dog. Here's the part where it gets crazy. Now it's 2020 and my whole family is talking about geting a dog (we were very bored). We were talking about either a lab or a bernadoodle. But then, on September 20th 2020 on Rosh Hashanah my mom got a call that her dad was dying . She rushed to the hospital when she entered the room and saw her family surrounding his bed. On his death bed she talked about geting a dog with him and about how much she loved Ace. At that moment she knew she needed to get a black lab. A few days later she was looking for dogs on a rescue site… Refresh,Refresh,Click! She found a black lab named sissy. You could imagine how excited my mom was when she found her. My mom knew she was perfect. We went to meet with the owners. We were one of 2 families that could get her. In the end the family chose us! When we went to pick her up we were thinking of names. Then my brother said the perfect one, Rosie. We used to call our grandfather Poppy so it's fitting that our dog is named after a flower too.
