These photos bring back so many memories and often make me wonder how much my life has changed? These photos remind of my homeland and the roots of my identity. Moving to the United States from Bangladesh was very hard and emotionally distressing. However, there was this unknown excitement of a new beginning and butterflies in my stomach to experience a whole new world. I lived in a house with 17 rooms and a big backyard full of trees. I lived in a nuclear joint family and grew up in a small village playing in green fields. After moving to America, things changed. Now I live in a apartment with my brother. The family connection somehow got lost since everyone is busy with their own life. Also, living in New York, which never sleeps, a crowded city full of diverse backgrounds; I adapted a new lifestyle and found a new way of living.
