Pic of my grandmas brothers in vietnam.

This is a picture of my grandmothers 2 old brothers serving in vietnam in the late 60’s. Vernon, the brother on the right was in the air force and was a lieutenant colonel. The brother on the left was Carmey and he was a master sergeant in the army. My grandmothers 2 brothers helped influence my grandma to join the army and she worked in the army for 25 years. This connects to the rest of my identity because my grandmother signed up for the army as a recruiter and recruited countless people over her career. Vernon, the brother in the air force, sadly died in a plane crash before the war ended. I think it shows that my grandma's brothers wanted to serve their country as americans, because fighting for your country especially when you know it's dangerous is bold I’d say. I feel like my story would connect to freedom as they fought for the country and one died in the process of it. I would say that's the bravest thing you can do for your country. It could also connect to conflict as my family lost a member in the war, and my brothers fighting against south vietnam's government.
