The object that represents my family history is pesos. Pesos is Mexican currency. To many people it's money, people might even say it has no value or it's useless. But, to my dad it was all he had. When he immigrated in 1994, he left all of his belongings back home in Sinaloa, Mexico with his mother. All he brought with him was the clothes he was wearing and the little money he had. He left hopping for a better life in the U.S. He doesn't really like to talk about his past but he did tell me that the outcome was great he couldn't wish for nothing better than a wife and three amazing kids. He also doesn't ask for much but he wishes that one day we could all travel far and visit places we've never seen before.
