Pecan Pie Recipe
The object I have chosen is a recipe that was passed down in my family for a few generations. The recipe itself is a pecan pie. The pecan pie recipe was crafted by my great grandparents. The recipe and ingredients were written in pretty cursive by my great grandmother. The pecans that they used were grown on their property. My great grandparents were known to add pecans to everything! My family has many happy memories of eating pecan pie. My family has this pecan pie every Christmas and Thanksgiving. The recipe was passed on to my grandparents. I call my grandma “Nana” and I call my grandpa “Grumps.” They told me that they decided they wanted to be called “Nana and Grumps” many years before I was born. Nana still prepares pecan pie every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have never been a really big fan of pecan pie, but that doesn’t stop me from cherishing every Thanksgiving and Christmas I have had at Nana and Grumps’s house. When my great grandparents were married, they built their house and planted pecan trees. Whenever pecan pie was invented, it is likely that my great grandparents got inspired to make their own pecan pie. When my Nana was three years old, my great grandparents perfected their pie recipe. When my great grandparents passed away, Nana inherited the pecan pie recipe. She now makes this pie every Thanksgiving and Christmas.
