The object I chose is called Pozole. It’s a Mexican tradition that we do whenever there is a special event or a holiday. I chose this dish because it's a part of my culture, and it's very popular, and it's a key part of a Mexican household. Pozole comes in three different flavors ; white, green, and most popular red. For me, I'm used to eating the red flavor since it's the one I grew up eating in my house. Now the difference between all three is that pozole rojo has a blend of chiles, pozole verde has more of a salsa verde taste making it tangy and spicy but on a lower level, And pozole blanco is uncolored with no chiles nor tomatillos it has more of a clean, savory taste with just the meat taste left. These pozoles are made in different parts of Mexico. This is important for my family, since it brings long distance family members together for a nice family evening. When the pozole is made families get together and share a wonderful meal, with the warmth of everyone and share stories from the past. The sharing stories from the past, would be how they spend their years in Mexico and all of these stories are shared over a bowl of pozole with some toasted tortillas on the side. For me, it makes me excited whenever I hear my mom makes pozole because that is one of my favorite Mexican dishes. I get excited because it's like once in a blue moon that my mom makes pozole rojo,so in the end, that’s why I picked pozole as my object, since it represents my family and my culture.
