Patches and a Pin from 1963

My objects are a collection of Korean War patches. They are made out of cloth and are machine stitched. My grandfather, John Whitcomb, was a third generation immigrant from Britain and was stationed with the US Army in Korea in 1963. He worked on a medical platoon. My dad showed me these patches and pin and I instantly found them very interesting. My grandfather died when I was only a few months old, and these patches have helped me to learn more about him.
