Junior Class ring

Junior Ring
Junior Ring

This is my junior class ring. I went to an all-girls private school, with many traditions, and one of them was getting a ring in junior year. The ring I chose was the colors of my school green and white. Inside the band, it says “SGHS ‘24 L+B”. “SGHS” stands for Saint Gertrude High School, “24” stands for my graduation year. “L+B” stands for Lilac and Black which are my class colors. I like the ring we got from an estate internet site because it has more character and history than other rings I could have gotten. At my school for 100 years, it goes by class colors instead of years. So we would say the class of Lilac and Black inside of the class of 2024. My graduating class was only 45 girls. Over four years, we all became very close despite many differences. The ring symbolizes traditions for 100 years of women being in that school and the small group of girls I call my Lilac and Black sister I will call my sisters forever. I am proud to be a part of the history of Saint Gertrude High School.
