Pastina
My object is my Great Grandmother’s recipe for Pastina (Soup with pieces of pasta in it). It’s been passed down from my great great Grandmother, to my great Grandmother, who still makes it every Wednesday for me and my brother, and to my Grandmother. The reason why this is my object, is because it’s been passed down for over a century and every time I have the Pastina it gets better and better. Here's a recipe for the Pastina if you want to make it.
1. Bring one cup of water to boil in a small saucepan.
2. Add Pastina and salt then cook it until most of the water is absorbed; 3 or 4 minutes.
3. Turn off the heat, and stir in an egg, letting it cook in the hot Pasta.
4. Add butter, cheese and pepper.
5. Enjoy!
