Arroz con habichuela con pasteles in English is called rice and beans and pasteles. This is a Puerto Rican meal and my family makes this meal every Christmas and Thanksgiving. It’s fast to make the rice but it takes 2 days to make the pasteles. This dish has been in Puerto Rican culture for a very long time and my family puts in a lot of effort to make this meal. My grandma came to New York in 1969 and my grandpa came to New York in 1966. They came to America to have a better life.
