Korean Passport

This is my mom’s passport which she was required to have in order to travel to America. It’s from Korea so a lot of the text inside it is written in Korean. My mom recently told me about it along with the story that comes with it. This passport was from the year 1976, 5 months after my mom’s birth. My mom was an immigrant at the age of 5 months old because she was to be adopted. It currently has been kept in a safety deposit box at my grandma’s house, untouched until now and has not been passed down. This passport shows the travel route which led my family to where we are today, with a stamp from each place on the pages. It shows a part of my identity as a Korean and my mom’s story on how we got into America and how we got to live here.
