The image is a popular aspect of Greek culture and religion. It is an iconic symbol of Greek Orthodoxy and is found in almost every Greek household. The image plays a key role in my family's immigration story as it represents their belief to succeed in this new world. As well as be a good person knowing that Jesus and Mary support you and help you in your everyday obstacles.
