necklace
The object I chose is my necklace. This necklace was owned by my grandpa, then by my mom, and now by me. My mom is originally from Mexico but when she was 13 she immigrated to Georgia. Both my mom and I received it on the day we got baptized. My mom was baptized in our town church in Mexico. It's made out of 14k gold and my mom’s initials are engraved on it but are now faded away. I still remember when they dunk my head into the water and the moment my mom put it on me. I have only taken it off once or twice in the past two years as it's very important to me. Although the pendant has changed, it’s where the necklace holds value. Although the necklace is small, it has a lot of importance to my family and me.
