This is my ring that my dad gifted me.

A tradition in my culture is for a father to gift their daughter with either a ring, necklace, or bracelet once they turn fifteen. The item signifies that the daughter is getting older and is leaving her childhood behind. So, when I turned fifteen my father gifted me with this ring. This is very important to me because not only is it something that my father gifted me, but it made me realize that I am indeed getting older, and I'll only be a child once. I hope that when I am older, I will be able to hand this down to someone special.
