My object is my grandfather, Joseph Terrasi, sailor's tie is made from polyester and it is used in the navy uniform. This object came from the united states, yet my grandfather wore it in the korean war. When I asked my mom and my grandmother about a project at school, they told me about these objects. On my grandfathers birthday, we bring out all of his treasures and we put them in our house to remember him. This object is important to me because I never got to meet him, and the tie and his dog tags help my grandmother explain to me about him. This object connects to my family’s military background. For example, my great grandfather was in the army, and my grandfather on my father's side was in the army too.
