The video which I watched was by Laila Lalima and her object was her khamsa. 
The object I have chosen is my workspace/desk. I chose this as my object because my workspace is where I get everything I need to get done, done. My desk is where I have made and developed some of my best work so far. At this workspace I have applied to switch schools, written essays, worked on homework, planned vacations, done webinars, designed posters, and made cards. A special aspect of this workspace to me is that it is almost inviting me to come and sit and work. With the wood desk and the matching chair along with the desktop, it has this motivating/gravitating feeling of "let's be productive." This is why I have picked my desk as my object.
