My Spring Festival
Every Chinese New Year is on the first day of the first lunar month, also known as Spring Festival. It's a very important day to Chinese. For me, when I was in China, I was really excited when the holiday comes. Everyone would get up early on that day and wear new clothes. The house would be clean few days before the festival and decorated with red lanterns. My grandparents would put new couplets with poetic on the door. People would come and visit each other, the unmarried people (mostly children) would recieved "luck" money from elder. There are people having shows on the streets and they would doing the dragon dance while they're moving. I used to follow them and tried to dance like them when I was little. My family would reunite and having dinner together. In the evening of the Spring Festival Eve, many people set off fireworks and watching the fireworks blooming in the sky, wishing the best for everyone they loved. After the fireworks, I usually watching "CCTV evening party of Spring Festival" with my family, this show is not very interesting in my opinion, but everyone used to watch it on that day, it's more like a habit that we would do for celebrating Spring Festival.
