My Mother's Love

In Attire

It’s amazing how such a small object can have such big meaning to it. This particular object is important to me because my mother made it for me. It’s made from lanyard strands that she wove into the shape of a bracelet. It’s also blue, my favorite color.   I keep it on my key chain, so I won’t ever lose it. Every time I look at it, I feel a certain warmth in my heart. My mother is my strength, my weakness, and my closest friend.  When I pull out my keys to go into the house, I see my mom. When I’m in a challenging situation, I’ll pull it out and I’ll get a better feeling. Plus, the memory of it all is amazing because she gave it to me before I got arrested, and it was on my wrist the whole time. So, it allowed me to go through what I went through and make it to the end much easier. Basically, I love my mom and this bracelet is my reminder of that love.
