My object is a kimono and it's from Japan. My mom sometimes uses it for parties and other special occasions. A kimono is made of cloth. My mom was born in Japan and she brought the kimono with her to the United States when she immigrated here. However, now she doesn't wear it anymore.
I chose this object because it reminds me of my Japanese heritage.This teaches me how some people dress in japan special occasions.This is connected to my mom because she brought this from Japan to New York in ___. 
One question I have for this object is how it was made? Another question I have is in what year it was made? I am proud that my family owns a kimono because it reminds me of my Japanese heritage.
