I picked my Mother’s rosary, it means a lot to her and it connects to her faith.When my Mom immigrated to the U.S. with my two older siblings she spoke very little to no english. She told me that when she got to Minneapolis in the later half of 1999 that the latino community was not as large and evident as it is now. The struggles and hurdles took a toll on her and in her time of need she relied on her faith to keep her strong, she knew that God would help her pull through. Her rosary reminds me that faith can helps overcome the harshest of things and that my mom pulled through her struggles in hope of a brighter tomorrow.
