My great grandmother, Caroline Wolski immigrated to the US after the end of WWI in search of a better life and to start a new family. She met my great grandfather, Stanislas Kalwicz on the boat they each took into Boston. Thereafter they got to know each other very well and eventually got married. After their journey to the US they would settle in Rockland, MA where my grandmother and her two siblings would be born. Firstly Henry would be born in 1920, then Irene in 1924 and finally my Grand Mother Helen in 1928. Unfortunately my great grand father would pass away in 1931 due to tetanus. Caroline would go on to raise my grand mother and along with her siblings all by herself.
