When my mom got deported she took me with her because I was too young. She left me with my grandma and she went back to the United States of America. After A few years I got sent to my family in Minnesota. I was scared because, most of my life until then I had been with my grandma and not my dad or sister. To make me feel better, my mom gave me a gold necklace. I've never seen this and as a kid I felt good about myself. I felt welcomed and special that day. So, in the end my mom and my necklace became special to me.
